Share your Seeds!

Welcome to the Philadelphia Seed Exchange.

We are a collective of gardeners and farmers whose vision is to establish and promote a local network of seed exchange. By taking control of seed production and distribution we can provide our communities with food security and develop plant varieties suited to our growing climate. As our project develops we plan to offer our annual seed catalog online; build a temperature-controlled seed bank; and teach courses about seed.

PSE works to collect, save and share our seeds free of charge with persons interested in saving seed.  Gardeners interested in using our seeds but who are unable to save seed are encouraged to make a 1 dollar donation for each packet of seeds they receive. All seed requests will be considered regardless of suggested donations.

We are responsible to provide the following for our children: healthy soil, clean water, and a diverse selection of vegetables, fruit, flowers, nuts and trees. We can accomplish this by working together this year to pass on the seed heritage our ancestors have given to us.

Please send requests to:

The PSE collection is small but growing. In 2011 we are focusing our efforts on organizing exchanges in Philadelphia. Persons unable to attend our exchanges are encouraged to contact NE Permaculture Seed Bank.
