This website is a bit out of date, but the Philadelphia Seed Exchange is alive and well! In Winter 2015/2016, we had 3 very well attended seed swaps in partnership with the Culinary Literacy Center at the Free Library of Philadelphia. Stay tuned for more swaps this Fall and Winter and beyond! Please find us on Facebook and email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Philadelphia Seed Exchange has a new webpage. Features include a calendar of events, seed database, forums and educational resources.
Learn how to grow your own winter greens and save the seeds from year to year. Registration is now open for our Mt. Airy Learning Tree courses. Join us May 20 or June 10 for an afternoon session. We will help you plan your garden for winter greens (kale, collards, Brussels sprouts, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower and more) and a spring crop of seeds.
For more information visit the Mt. Airy Learning Tree webpage.
Class name is “Seed Saving with Winter Greens”
Join us for a free seed and plant exchange at CIRCA 1212 on South St. in Philly Sunday April 22 from 2-5pm. Bring seeds if you got ’em. What if I don’t have seeds? Not a problem. We have seeds to share. Bring plants to swap too!
What’s purple in the earth, red at market and yellow on the table? Find out at our free seed and plant exchange Sunday, 2-5pm at Weaver’s Way Coop in Mt. Airy. 559 Carpentar Lane, Philadelphia, Pa 19119. This event is free and open to the public. Bring seeds and plants to share and swap with local gardeners and urban farmers. Don’t have any seeds?
